How to create a Portal account?

In order to get a Portal account, you have to contact Aegent directly at 416-622-9449

After I entered the Username, Password and clicked OK button I got this error message: SmartJClassRefException: Invalid Method. What should I do?

You have to have the most recent Java Runtime Environment installed on your computer to use the Portal. You can get the most recent Java Runtime Environment from here.

When I tried to access one of the Forest & Tree files published on Portal, I got a red maple leaf and error message: -1008 http://www.aegent.ca... . What should I do?

If you installed or uninstalled Microsoft Office 2003 or Microsoft Project on your computer, you may have this error after you logged into Portal and tried to access one of the Forest & Tree files. The solution is to re-register the URLMON.dll. Click here for detailed instrctions.

Where can I get the Forest & Tree Runtime Option?

The Forest & Tree Runtime Option will be available to registered users ONLY. After you log into Portal, you will be able to find it under Knowledge section. When you click on the file, Internet Explorer will ask you Open or Save the selected file. Click on Save and save the installation file to your own computer. It is a zipped file. You have to have Winzip 9 or equivalent software to unzip it first and run the Setup.exe.
